smerriman
Your 4♠ bid is a cue bid in spades, promising the ace or a void (GIB requires showing first-round controls before second-round controls). Since it has the ace, you must have a void, despite the 2NT opening bid (I'm not sure how it decides which lie to believe when you have contradicted yourself). If you have 20-21 points and a void in spades, 7♦ looks a good bid.

Let's assume that it gives me a void in spades, Outside of spades there are 24 missing HCP, so I could still be missing the ace of clubs and have 20 points. I am assuming 4H is a splinter. If so, sign off in 5D holding wasted values opposite a splinter and GIBBO's strength unknown. Methinks GIB will bid 6D. vrock

The 4S convince GIB there are a lot of points. vrock
wbartley
It bid a grand slam off an ace when 1) it has the means to determine that it is off an ace 2) By any interpretation of my bidding, reasonable or otherwise, being off an ace is a possibility.
