bestguru
I keep seeing your avatar, and I still can't figure it out. It looks like it could be a guy ralphing or trying to inhale a small chicken head first. Not sure which would be more disturbing

Not sure which would be more disturbing Hehe. It's a picture of GREAT italian comedian from Naples, very active in the 50s-60s, nicknamed "Totò". He is eating spaghettis with his hands.I had to crop the pic to include it in the Avatar. See : http://www.votantonio.sm/galleria/foto77.htmfor the full image. Rain
I like the culinary description and ranks =)Think someone asked last year for these to be changed regularly--I think we change it whenever we have a lot of time or get bored or Ben posts too much and requires another new rank. Here are details: 0: snail porridge--snail porridge with jabugo ham on shaved fennel 10: roast foie gras--with almond fluid gel and cherry chamomile 50: sole veronique--sole veronique with pont-neuf potatoes 100: creme brulee--creme brulee with fire 250: mee pok--flat noodles with fish balls, meat balls, minced pork and seasoning 500: hainanese chicken rice--try it at your local restaurant 1000: chili crab--fresh crab in peranakan chilli sauce 1500: durian cake--durian mousse cake 2000: mom's dishes--served with sweet memories 2500: moet & chandon 3000: krug 3500: dom perignon 4000: inniskillin 4500: Aquafina 5000: Ben 5500: Bennier 6000: Benniest
Double !
I think the "Ben" dishes are cool (They're not real dishes, now, are they?) But who else has a declarative, a superlative, and a superior rating associated with his name? GO BEN! That Mee Pok sounds interesting...... Another thing. Look at the criteria for Aquafina!!! What one has to do or accomplish these days just to get a drink of water.......................................
cherdano
Mmmm thanks for the menu, I am looking forward to the hainanese chicken rice.
Walddk
500: hainanese chicken rice--try it at your local restaurant 7 more posts from me and then it's all over (please don't applaud too loud). We don't have a local Chinese restaurant :P Roland

rona_
Is no-one taking this thread seriously? I am SO frustrated .. I'm off to chew my bowl again. Rgds Dog And make sure you floss and brush your teeth afterwards  Cherdano, Hainanese chicken rice is ok but over-rated, in my view. Try Laksa which isn't on the bbo menu, and don't miss the Durian cake. If you can find the fruit, don't be afraid to try. It stinks to high heaven and tastes divine. ;) Durian has an added advantage: it gets rid of all your house pests ;) Not allowed on aeroplanes or hotels in Asia. Taking this thread seriously Dog. keylime
K I have request: Why the heck is a fruit known for dessert - stuck with a main course?! COME ON, I want mine to be the ONLY one with "key lime pie, of course". :-)
slothy
I had to check :-) Gee, I hate Crab!!! Luis, luis, luis.... I have always agreed with your post on BBF... Seems like you were the most reasonable person here... that is until this totally insane post. Hate crab???? Unbelievable.. some up to maryland and I will fix you some crab cakes that are out of this world. Ben I have to say Ben Luis, my monogamous life style (well only saying that in case a certain person reads this thread hee hee) makes me want to avoid crabs in Maryand or any other state. PS As for Maryland chocolate chip cookies.....turn on the oven and bake them baby (sorry, in my Austin Powers persona now) Alessio

42
:) I post and post (ok, 84 is not one of the highest numbers of postings here...), and am still Sole Veronique. Enough *brrrbbbsss*, fish is bad for me. How much more is necessary to become Crema Catalan?

It is a coconutmilk-chilli-rice dish (or so), sometimes with fish, too....But I want sweets, melting slowly on the tongue :D Caren
