helene_t
What's this about? Have I missed the latest TV commercials, or is this a BBO issue?
the hog
Look under your avatar, Helene; I suspect Rain has been playing around, but it really is a bit silly.

Walddk
I must agree with Ron. Food descriptions in BBO Bridge Forums are pointless. Some of the dishes I haven't even heard about. If we can't avoid them, I insist on having: Rødgrød med fløde as mine. Roland

epeeist
I too must complain, at the misinformation. "Roast Foie Gras"? Please! You do not roast foie gras, you sear it quickly! And you serve it with something, perhaps caramelized onion and a glass of Sauternes... :D
mr1303
I'm not sure what Mee Pok is, but it sounds meaty, and being a Vegan and all...... Change it to Sweet and sour stir fried Tofu, washed down with a glass of soya milk, and I'm more than happy.
MickyB
Yes, I keep reading it as Mee Pork! Google tells me that Mee Pok means "thin flat noodle", not sure whether it is eggy or not... IMO the changing thingies are fun and worth doing...maybe time for a poll to decide whether to keep them or not!

No thank you, sounds like eating something meant for hairstyling. I remember those red bryl creme tubes, and the powerful smell..... What do I have to strive for now....mee pook? bestguru
Yes, the food descriptions are a little odd. Creme brulee?????? No thank you, sounds like eating something meant for hairstyling. Creme brulee is a custard with the top carmelized with a torch. I made my own version for my girlfriend on valentines day. Picture this: a layer of chocolate gran marne ganoush, a layer of chocolate custard, and a layer of carmelized vanilla custard. Should this be ranked lower than some flat noodles? As to my rating: What am I, chopped liver?

Brandal
And I thought "Chilli Crab" was some obscure reference to my astrological sign. :) probably refers to your laidback bridgestyle.... "Now HE'S a chilly crab....."? :D

inquiry
To be honest, I haven't been happy with the changing of the description since I lost my "world class poster" designation... wahhhhhh.. Double !
Definitely agree with Ben soft-shelled crabs out of the Chesapeake or caught directly out of the Middle River (just north of Baltimore) behind our house eons ago, andMaryland Crab Cakes You haven't lived until you tried 'em. Not sure how the phrase "you are what you eat" impacts on this, though. With all of these "fish-related" names......is someone trying to say something about my bridge game? Chamaco
I have to confess I like the food thingies (see my avatar pic, hehe ;) ) :D But, I'd like if every person could pick their food: may I have "Piadina" ? :P  As an aside:I am sure Ron was a bit disappointed because he would like much better WINE names. Ron, how would it be like if rather than "Mom's dish" your avatar caption was "Montepulciano 19xx" ?? ;)
