manudude03
I'm passing this one. I'm not desperate for a heart lead, and if our opponents end up in a major, we have great defense, while if they have the minors, partner may be able to act anyway. I played in a competition a few months ago and opened this hand 1H at third seat favourable: [hv=pc=n&w=sj92hkj98dk52cq53]133|100[/hv] This is a worse hand than the OP, but I really wanted partner to lead a heart. PhantomSac
In general I wouldn't pass with a hand I would open in 4th seat, this one qualifies with 3-4 in the majors. Whether you open 1H or 1C is a matter of opinion/style/somewhat systemic. I prefer to not open 1H with this kind of hand so I'd open 1C. I might open 1H on a different day :P
The_Badger
I'm passing too. My opinion is that you can delude partner on your strength but not your length with a 3rd in hand opening one level bid playing 5M. The hand is a crummy 11 count with not much going for it. Pass.
