DrFell
What happened to the IMPs Daylong Tournament? Some of us don't love MPs.
barmar
There aren't enough like you. The IMP tournaments were 30% less popular than the MP tournaments, so we've discontinued them.
lenehan
This is awful. I also play MPs only very reluctantly. Please reconsider: 30% fewer players is still a very large number.Besides, since you now limit free daylong tournaments to only 3 per week, nobody can play 7 MP tournaments per week. Why not give the rest of us a chanceto play 3 IMP tourneys per week?
King_of_D
When there were still 3 free daylong tournaments each day, the most popular by far was the one with Total Points. So by this logic, both IMP and MP tourneys should be cancelled and only TP tourneys left. I thought that BBO would take bridge reasons into consideration when making such decisions. IMO, playing only MP tourneysmakes bridge players very one-sided. IMP tournaments are very important for improving the game.

barmar
And we've also gone back to alternating between IMP and MP in the free daylongs.
