steve2005 Posted June 14, 2017 Report Share Posted June 14, 2017 Embarrassing.North has a 2 loser hand, points are meaningless on this hand to make a NF 3N bid means N doesn't understand bridge. If south had passed (with weaker hand) instead of opening there is still some chance for 7red. Surely after a 3♣ bid which shows some extras, some sort of slam try is in order. Don't blame North, he's getting old and his eyesight is going. :) [True story, to some extent! At a tournament once, an opp opened 1NT with a void because in the mediocre lighting two of his cards looked like they were in another suit] I wonder how one could accurately get to 7D or 7H here. North could try to set hearts as trumps somehow, but then is there such a thing as double-exclusion RKC?
