Played in two large club games last week and this week with a pickup partner (same both events). We took 1st overall last week and 2nd overall this week in the NLM bracket. FelicityR Posted April 28, 2017 Report Share Posted April 28, 2017 Well done! I had a similar but lesser experience when I went back to playing club bridge about five years ago. Two pick-up partners in the first week and won twice. More luck than judgement on my part. The trickiest thing was getting used to bidding boxes as even though I am right-handed, I deal and play cards with my left - God Knows why - and the club didn't have a left-handed box.
