An amusing challenge

I often spot patterns in contracts in an arena challenge, but it never went this far before (and this wasn't contrived at all). Made 12 tricks in 5 of them too.

At least now I see why I frequently lose 8 finesses (or more) in a row and spades is far less than a 50% shot.

In one Undergrad Varsity match (think it was the same one I referenced in another thread where we lost on the last board) our card for the first quarter had eight out of eight contracts all in spades. We started off with a gift to opps when partner thought 3041 RKCB meant 5C = 3, 5D = 0, 5H = 4, 5S = 1... but then opps gave us one back by playing in their spade secondary fit just to continue the pattern, rather than opting for a more sensible contract in their primary fit. :)
