There will be no way to make p shut up if they have a heart fit and a decent hand if we begin with either 3 or 4 hearts. It might seem like pass is great here but IHMO p will almost never reopen with x and there is wayyyyyyyy too much chance we have an easy heart game if p cannot reopen. At MP I might consider p since it is only 1 board and gambling p can reopen with x might deliver a great MP score when we pass but it is too risky at IMPS. Further a x has at least a suggestion of a D suit. You appear to have....... uh, a stiff? What is partner expected to do over the x? Don't you think that 3H is far better.
