awm Posted November 6, 2016 Report Share Posted November 6, 2016 Partner had the opportunity to signal at trick one, and most people signal suit preference on the lead of dummy's singleton in a suit contract. Assuming standard suit preference signals, the ♣2 should deny a strong heart holding and I would lead a trump at trick two. If partner had played the ♣6 I'd find a heart switch. Of course, if you play upside-down suit preference or have some non-standard agreement about trick one signals in this situation, none of this applies.
