xeno123
Playing against GIB, I ended up in the following good slam: [hv=pc=n&s=sakqj7hkq643d7ckq&n=s65hat87da9632c87&d=n&v=n&b=5&a=pp2cp2dp2sp3dp3hp4np5sp6hppp]266|200[/hv] West leads the 2♥ and East pitches a low club. So the obvious line (which I took) is to simply draw trumps, give up a club and cash remaining winners and then run the spades. This failed when East showed up with five spades and carefully held onto all of them. (East's trump void does increase the chances of holding long spades). So what's the best line if you know about the bad split? And might that line be better anyhow? (And a bidding question - was I right to mention the spades before the hearts?) Cyberyeti
Your plan to make is to ruff 2 diamonds and pitch the other two on the top spades, this may not be best at MPs. I play A♦, ruff a diamond high and lead a club
