Matches expire in 3 days. So whenever one match is set up, opp needs to accept and play it out within 3 days.

Yes, but we play two segments. Both are dependent on one person setting and the other accepting. Times two.

The 2nd 16 result was:

Over the 2 rounds +14. Hoping that Rowland might stay in with the least losers.

Here is one hand where the result was identical the bot going down in a making contract. Would a human have taken this decision?

The bot can make the contract if it viewed that the opening lead was from Q976 and not 976. At trick 9 the situation was identical at both tables and the opponent bot decided that the initial lead had been from 976 and thus went down. Partner bot's lead was the 6 and it later followed suit with the 9 and then the 6. I am aware that bots can make different decisions in identical situations. Fortunately here the opp bot made the same decision at both tables.

Most interesting hand - 10 of those IMPs were picked up on the first board of the second set when he opened 1 in third seat with four hearts to the queen and a balanced 8-count, causing wild competition.

So far we have:

7 completed matches

2 half completed matches (ovncylmz vs vampyr and olegru vs gordontd)

2 other matches (dadim vs nige1 and phoenix214 vs nekthen).

dadim - if nige1 still hasn't responded yet (according to profile, hasn't checked in on the forum for over a week), go ahead and start a challenge with MrAce instead.

phoenix214 + nekthen - both profiles show recent forum activity - any update?

Barry and I finished round one

I won round one by 21

Barry won round two by five

This match wasn't as swingy. I was worried that I would lose big on board 8, since we failed to bid the cold slam, but neither did Richard.

Anyone message (here or at BBO) the following people: phoenix214, nekthen, gordontd

to figure out the issues?

Suggestion for the future events,

1. Have a clear rule on time limit of each match and the rule related to withdraw.

2. Consider 3 or 4 way match or RR on the first round.

Agree about time limits, but need to be careful about withdrawals. If Player A invites, and Player B does not accept, that should be a win by default.

At halftime, it's trickier. I think it will function better if the leader makes the invite. If someone does not accept, then the leader wins as if there was a halftime concession.

If the leader at halftime doesn't set up the match or is unresponsive the commissioner needs to get involved.

Anyone message (here or at BBO) the following people: ... gordontd.

We agreed to play the second part this week. Hopefully soon.

Knowing the deadline would help.
