You arrived in a somewhat ambitious slam after North opened a 12-14 NT. After your 2 transfer (showing clubs) West doubled, and eventually you took your chance in 6.

West leads A and switches to 9. The contract is not exactly laydown, but it's not hopeless either. Plan the play please.

Experienced single dummy solvers are kindly requested to use hidden text and let as many as possible get the chance. Thanks.

First we must assume CK on side. The problem now becomes how to deal with East having all the missing clubs (K984), in which case, we need 3 entries to dummy for the finesse (East would cover CQ with CK and play C8/9 at next turn).

At trick #2, over take DQ with DA and play CQ from dummy. If East indeed has all the missing clubs, we will have to create an additional entry to dummy by finessing DT (if West didn't play DJ) to continue club finesse. If East doesn't have all the clubs, one finesse would be sufficient. After clear up opp's trumps, I will unblock hearts, and use DK as entry to cash HJ (and discard my 3rd diamond).

I have seen hands with this theme before. My line:

win the heart, DQ to the DK, CQ. if they dont cover i run it. If its K98x i will then lead a club to my jack, diamond to the ten, club hook. If they do cover and its K98x, I lead diamond to the ten, club they split i win the ten, diamond to king, club hook. This line is not double dummy because if the clubs come home i can pitch my diamond on the HJ after pulling trumps. So im just giving myself extra chances on 4-0.

Forget previous post: it didn't come out hidden: sincere apologies, but suspect know the issue or theme here.
