Kungsgeten
We recently started playing that 1S-2D shows hearts. 1S is 11-16 with 5+ spades, 11-13 if bal. Our treatment is that 2D is either: a) Weak with 6+ heartsb) INV with 5 heartsc) GF with 5+ hearts, doesn't want to relay With 6+ hearts and INV values we bid an invitational jump shift. After 1S-2D:2H = NF, may be 0 hearts....Pass = Weak with 6+ hearts...2S = ART GF (waiting style)...2NT = INV with 5H...Higher = Nat GF2S = NF with short hearts and long spades....Pass = 6+ hearts weak...2NT = 5H INV...3S = INV...Others = GF2NT = Super accept of hearts3m = Nat F13S = Super max nat Do you have any tips or tricks which may be better? Phil
We play this but only utilize A and C. I have no idea what's best.
nullve
I play 1S-2D("5+ H"); 2H-?: P = "7-9", 2-S6+H*2S = "10-12", 2 S**, NF2N+ = GF, unbal.*** * the response to 1S with "4-6", 2-S6+H is 1N (NF)** the response to 1S with "10-12", 1-S5H is 1N (NF)*** the response to 1S on GF hands with (5431) or less shape is 2C ("4-way"), intending to relay
helene_t
I don't think you need a nf 2n bid after opener's 2s rebid.
straube
We offload 1S-3H as strongly invitational in hearts and 1S-2C as GF relay for most GF hands with hearts. 1S-2D 2H-no fit unless minimum.....2S-doubleton, GI.....2N-GI.....3m-GI,5m.....3H-lightly invitational (less so than 1S-3H).....3S-GI, 3-fit.....3N-to play, minimum GF2S-6S, no fit.....similar to 2H rebid2N-2 or 3 hearts, asking with max.....3M-GF, 5m.....3H-6H, min.....3S-2S, GF.....3N or 4M-to play3m-5/5, max3H-fit, medium3S-inv
