I bid 2N if we have methods (e.g. some form of Wolff signoff or new minor forcing) to stop in 3H or get to 4S. I bid 2S if we don't. If for some reason, partner having less than 6hcp is common AND we don't have methods, I would consider 1S - but I can't really imagine playing an anti-field weak or mini NT (the main reason for responder to bid with <6hcp) in such a casual partnership.

(pass) - pass - (pass) - 1

(pass) - 1 - (pass) - ?

If your answer depends on the zone and the method of calculation, please say.

2s seems normal now, nothing fancy

I guess my answer depends on the fact that we get to assume pard is a true expert/wc player and knows I am not.

2NT shld be correct openin, i think.

1. No reason to show diamonds, we don't seek 6 or 7d after partner's pass.

2. We prepare to play from our strong hand.

3. We could find our spade easy.

But we could not find 3d. So? Probability of 3d is not high. May be 3c or 3H...

But now, after 1d opening we can hide our spade and expect spade lead. 3NT with spade fit better than 2/3NT from weak partner's hand after club lead.

I think you are significantly overestimating the number of times that bidding NT will induce a spade lead over a club. Opp will tend to lead from length/strength in unbid suit vs. NT. You have 2 more cards in spades and 3/4 of the top honors. These things will significantly increase club lead vs. spade quite a lot.
