straube Posted May 26, 2016 Report Share Posted May 26, 2016 I'm thinking of using 2N in 4th seat and possibly 3rd seat as natural and strong...giving up relays for the sake of preventing a contested auction. What do others think? Would you be comfortable with 20-21? (this would make our 1C-1D, 1N 18-19) or even 21-22? How often do you think we'd be missing slam when responder has a shapely max? (partner is limited to 10 hcps). Are these slams we could likely find even? We had a hand in the last JEC match where they opened 2N in 3rd seat at the other table and we opened 1C...which allowed a devastating lead direct in 3rd seat.
