I can tell from the list of active forum members logged in in the last 15 minutes. Strangely enough, I have never seen anyone of those names playing on BBO, nor have they ever posted. You don't have to login to read the forum, just to post. I think I once noticed some code that recognizes connections from well known search engine crawlers, and rather than just treat them like any other anonymous reader, it creates a login entry for them.
