miksis
I read today that even Google Chrome will be phasing out support for the v. buggy Adobe Flash this year. Yikes? Are there any plans to migrate BBO to a more secure platform?Miksis
PhilG007
If that's true then they must be replacing it with something else. They can't just leave a vacuum.
1eyedjack
If that's true then they must be replacing it with something else. They can't just leave a vacuum.A replacement is available. It is called HTML5. But it does require a software rewrite. Some parts of BBO have been done in HTML5. The rest of it sounds like a major headache. barmar
The article I read just said that it won't be removed, it just won't be enabled by default (except for a handful of well-known sites that still depend on it). When you go to a site that needs it, like BBO, you'll be asked if you want to enable it, and it will remember your choice. So I don't think the end is quite nigh, but it's getting closer. norbertjoo
BBO officials shoud by now understand that flash is going out and introduce a HTLM5 Version soon. Can't be that difficult.
