Correct--since spades were never supported there would be no reason for LHO to rise with the spade K when u lead a spade after drawing trumps. That does not mean it can't happen just that it is very unlikely since LHO does not know for sure you do not have Qxx of spades and rising with the K could be a disaster. Defense is hard try to make a plan based on what they know and what they can only speculate about.
