DenisO
I have prepared a bridge movie of the match. I had hoped to post it here but can't find a way :(. If anyone wants a copy please email me privately and I'll send a zip file. At the moment there is no commentary but I will add this if members send me any bidding/play analysis. There are some useful contibutions already on the Forum - mainly from hrothgar and I will include these shortly (if Ok Richard?). I'm away on holiday for a few days from Wed so it will be next week before I can do anything re commentaries RgdsDenis
Erkson
Hi, Denis. I would like to know how did you manage to build a bridge movie with - I suppose- the hands you got from "myhands". I imagine it is possible with "cut and copy" and adapting some data here and there in the final file, but there may be a faster and easier way.Did you write a program to automate it ? TIAErkson Hi Erkson I'm afraid it was a simple "cut and paste" from the data in my hands :(. No doubt there are better ways for those with programming skills. I was somewhat surprised in view of the publicity/promises? about Vugraph and individual hand analyses that BBO didn't produce something for the Vugraph Theatre Denis
hrothgar
Hi Dennis Regarding the promise about analysis of individual hands.I was the one who originally made that offer. All I can say is that it takes some time to generate content.I'm working one this, however, I can't promise anything immediately.

I can appreciate that Richard. I think you're doing a great job so far. I hope to pull together whatever analysis posts are available when I get back from holiday and put them into my Bridge Movie. Hopefully it'll make a nice historical record. I'll convert to pbn format as well and post to the GIB discuss group Denis

I'll convert to pbn format as well and post to the GIB discuss group Denis As I am sure you realize, we have software that allowsthe user to create, edit, annotate, and manipulate .linfiles in various ways. This software would make it a loteasy to create a new bridge movie of the match. At this point in time, the "authoring software" that I amreferring to is not something that we give away for free. It is likely that a simplified version of this tool will eventuallymake its way into BBO (but perhaps not for a while). Also, future versions of the software will include data fromboth tables in the log files of team games. We are doing thisalready with vugraph matches. Erkson
Hi. Fred, I posted several messages on this forum to ask about two bugs I think I noticed in your .lin file software :1. the vulnerability display in the upper left corner is wrong from the 5th board to the end 2. when one watches a match and with the proper configuration he gets a .lin file of it but the last board is always missing. I may be completely wrong, but I didn't get any answer about that. Erkson
Erkson
I am sorry, Fred. I was wrong, and the vulnerability display is OK. The other problem (last board missing in log files of matches) stands. Erkson
