CyberCard
I pick this hand:AxxKQxxxxxx xxand the bidding goes, opponents silent:I Partner 1C1H 2D2H 2S2NT 3H?Now what? Partner is quite strong (reverse + 4th suit), if he has the right values, slam would be the right contract. If he has x Axx AKxx KQxxx, 6H is a piece of cake.If he has xx Ax AQxx KQJxx, 6H is makeable if they don’t lead S.If he has x Axx KQJx KQJxx, slam is out of the question, but 5H is reasonably safe. But if he has xx Ax KQJx KQJxx, even 5H is not makeable. If trump was a minor, TURBO would be nice. But with a major, we would go beyond game level, and I don’t want to risk that. What I would like is to TELL partner I have 2 keys for H (‘a la TURBO’), BELOW 4H, and let him decide to try the slam, or not.Is there a way to do that? Phil
Some use 3s/3N as turbo calls. Good 1345 should be splintering over 2h.
