how do my partner and I play against a couple robots, but set the point count such that we get 18-30 points combined on each hand.....or some other criteria?

This doesn't answer the question, but it is something I have thought about before.

 

BBO could, perhaps as a fee-paying service, produce bid-em-ups from played hands.Opposition bidding could be given based on the frequency of particular bids made by them. Sets for bidding practice could be produced with random deals, or according to desired criteria.

 

I have always wondered why BBO don't use their vast resources (in terms of data) to produce such a valuable product.

You need to rent out the robots to use them in the bidding room, only the host needs the robots rented, their partner can freeload. Then go to Deal Source and you can edit the settings there. Once you are done changing the settings, click close and then redeal.
