extrasolid
It is always difficult to find good team mates and opponents. Some players are alone, some leave although they said they want to play! It would be a good idea to have a table, where players and pairs can join to show they want to play teammatch. The organizers of matches then could choose mates and opps from this pool. Or there could be a table of available Teammatches, where pairs or single players (if the organizers allows) could join by theirselfs. Walddk
You could open a chat room and advertise in the lobby. Then you will get those who are interested to join that chat room. I don't think there is a need to create a special "who wants to play a team game room". Roland
dogsbreath
Hi .. Just my two-pence-worth, but it does seem to be increasingly difficult to get a match started recently.. i have been checking on players who reject or ignore invites and many of them are playing in another match. This strongly suggests that some players are answering several/ALL requests for team players, then accepting the first offer they get .. ok for them but disruptive for others...Only solution I can see is to prevent asking to play in more than one match at a time.. via some centram register maybe? mrdct
I think the way to go is to allow a person to start a teams match with less than 8 players and then have similar options to the Main Bridge Club of "Permission Required For Players" and reserving seats. He can then screen players as they take seats in his match, reserve seats for his preferred teammates, etc. At the moment, even if you can gather a few friends for a teams match fairly easily, you still have to manually type each of theirs name in; which I find a major hassle. jefacasa
At least itw'd be fine to be able to copy anything in the chat window : like the names of thoses who agree to play your team matchjef(casa)

arrows
This has been proposed long before.I don't know, seems it's not too difficult to extend the chat room function andset up slots so that players can join. Meanwhile, joining chat room before one can join a team game, make it impossible for a player accept 1+ invitation at a time. Well, let me guess, team games do not generate any cash flow for BBO, to make it easier to organize may even have a negative impact on it. (may have less people join the $ tourney). That's why this kind of proposal is always nonsense.
uday
Arrows, there is nonsense in your post but you and I will disagree on what makes up the nonsense. We (FG/UI) know that the TeamGame setup could stand some work. So could a dozen other things. Since Teamgames already work in the existing clunky fashion, enhancements take a back door to other work. We'll get to it. We nearly did something about it for the 42x betas but I asked FG for the right-click stuff instead.
arrows
good, you are so responsive, But there's a bug have been around for long time, in the rubber game, if one doesn't "click" at the end of a hand, then when next hand begin, the vulnerability one sees always get messed up... come on, I am actally doing you a favor..... Dwingo
The beta version 4.2.1 has a facility to copy chat by right clicking on the person's name. This is damn good. If this functionality can be extended by have another choice of copying the person's name, it will be useful to the Team Match organisers to copy names and paste it in the boxes in the "Create Team Match" window. This functionality will only be useful until such time the Team Match creation process is revamped. But all the same, this additional right click functionality , if implemented, will help Team match organisers the trouble of typing in the names, especially guys who have numerals and mutiple zzzzzz's in their nick.
