Rebound
[hv=d=e&v=n&n=s1065hkj8da985ca83&w=sk42h32dqj106cqj72&e=sa98hq974dk73ck105&s=sqj73ha1065d42c964]399|300|Scoring: IMP[/hv] Our auction(NS): (p) - p - (p) - 1♦ - (X) - 1NT - (2♣) - pppOther table(our partners-EW): 1♣ - (p) - 1NT - (X) - p - (2♣) - ppp This may strike you as a pretty boring looking partscore hand, but when played in a team game last night I noticed that the contract at both tables was 2♣, but in opposite directions. Since we beat it both times, we won 4 IMPS :-) How often have you defended or played the same contract at both tables in a team game? pclayton
I've seen it once or twice. Usually a takeout double is involved for some odd reason.
Walddk
How often have you defended or played the same contract at both tables in a team game? I have tried it 2 or 3 times over the years, but it actually happened recently on BBO vugraph in the exhibition match between Netherlands and Republic of Ireland. 3♣ just made for EW at one table. 3♣X by NS at the other table. No success. It went for 1700! Roland
Guest Jlall
How often have you defended or played the same contract at both tables in a team game? 1N is frequent. Barring that, have played 3N at both tables twice, lol.
mr1303
Our opps had a muisunderstanding in defence to our strong club system. Auction went: 1C (1NT) P (3S)P (4C) P (4D)X (4H) P (4S)X 1NT was alerted as hearts and clubs, his partner thought it was spades and diamonds. The other table it went: 2NT P 3C P3S P 4S all pass
Fluffy
I've seen 2♥/♠ when the suit was 5431 or 5521 several times.
EricK
I've seen it once or twice. Usually a takeout double is involved for some odd reason. If this hand is anything to go by, it is because people make take-out double on the wrong sort of hands. Both pairs who ended up in 2♣ had used a take-out double on weak balanced hands. What were they hoping to achieve?! Eric
