cherdano
Robot Rebat, 5 boards in. My score sheet says: Score: 50%Rank: 1Clock: 21 (I do have a screenshot, but sorry, too lazy to upload it somewhere given that images are disabled on BBF.) aguahombre
How about no scores compared, everyone thus tied for first, and you are the first alphabetically? Of course, I don't know. But there is a tie for first on summary with ACBLscore, when no scores have been posted from remote yet...might be similar thing on BBO. gszes
a rare combination of 5 straight pushes but you played them the fastest and time is a tie breaker?????

Bbradley62
How about if someone was ahead of you but withdrew, and you're the top player left?

Phil
Look, just because Arend's not a LIFE MASTER doesn't mean he's not Flight A.
Bbradley62
It's my understanding (hopefully Barry will correct me if I'm wrong) that strata are determined individually for each tournament, based on enrollment, with the top third of MP holders being A, the middle third being B and the bottom third being C. So, it's entirely possible for a player to sometimes fall in any of the three divisions. In the tournament results page I've linked, Cherdano qualified for B; in the tournaments immediately before and after that one he was C and A. I'm guessing it was the small high-powered tournament where he was C that he got that funny standings report. There have been several posts suggesting that in-tournament results get reported overall rather than stratified, but BBO seems not to think that's a good idea. beowulf
Could it be that there are multiple sections (your posted score during the tournament is your section score, I believe) yet the match pointing is done across the field. Then if it turns out that the other people in your section have score less than 50%, you will appear to ranked #1.
mgoetze
Oh, is that why the rank is always wrong, because it's only comparing me to the other flight C players? Well, whatever, I only care about getting 55% anyway.

I indeed was the only Flight C player in the tournament where this happened. Never realized that the rank displays the flighted rank, seems pretty strange and unexpected.
