inquiry Posted March 31, 2005 Report Share Posted March 31, 2005 The message that says the "application blocked until ______ " and then a date is generated when a player has been banned from the BBO. The date is usually one week or two weeks from the current date, unless it is a serious violation or the rules. Serious violations get very distant dates, like august 2006. Generally the date should have included a day as well. When you get a message like this, you should do what else the message is suppose to say. Contact ABUSE via email at the given address ABUSE AT SYMBOL Bridgebase DOT com. Or you can send me a private message here, and I will forward it to abuse. I can not investigate the nature of the ban that is enforced upon you at the current time, because we have no user with the nickname you used here. If you would like to send me private mail your user name on bbo, I can also investigate. It occassionally happens that when person A gets banned, that several additional people will be banned as a consequences. These additional people, following discussion with abuse can be unbanned. My BBO username is sandrella but when I try to log in the error message is "User sxxxxxi (name deleted by administrator to protect the possibily guility - inquiry) has been barred until 2007-03-06" (Two years?? Wow, that's a SERIOUS violation!) I have writted to abuse some hours ago, but still no answer...
