The opponents have exchanged information and are in position to punish an indiscretion. North should hit 1NT at matchpoints I think (if double would be penalty). akwoo Posted December 7, 2015 Report Share Posted December 7, 2015 I might very well have bid 2♠ the first time around, because that also has the additional benefits of making it harder for them to find diamond and heart fits. (Also, it's well known that 4th seat interference is the weak point of weak NT systems.) Having passed first time around, there is absolutely no way I would bid now.
