wank
no i don't protect, but why didn't i double 1d which is considerably safer?
PhantomSac
no i don't protect, but why didn't i double 1d which is considerably safer? It doesn't seem very risky to protect here, I assume that neither opponent will have a 4 card major so even if I bid 2H instead of doubling now (I would double though) worst case is partner has only 3 and they're 3-3. And I don't see how I will ever get doubled. I guess you could check with the opps to make sure that both opps have generally denied a 4 card major. I mean even if LHO might have a 4 card major I assume they have to be like (24)34 in which case we have a fit in the other major.
