I would have won ♦A at trick one. ;) I don't think West has ♠KJT8 and not double, but I do anticipate he has the King since East had fair (and long) diamonds plus the ♥ Ace and from non. club honor at trick one and low one back, East likely has g club honor as well (will not have singleton or doubleton club). Draw 1 round of trumps, ruff a diamond then play hearts discarding clubs. As long trumps are 3-1 (or better) and the second heart stands up, you'll only ever lose 1 heart and 2 trumps. Phil Posted November 17, 2015 Author Report Share Posted November 17, 2015 Well, the 2nd heart gets biffed by RHO. But you're ok as long as you draw one round of trump since RHO had KJ A QJxxxx xxx.
