You promised nice hands, but I don't like hands 1 & 3 at all! :)

Perhaps it's me, but I don't understand what the form of scoring is (hand 1 is teams, and hand 2 is "still MP"?).

Hand 1: I don't see any hope besides a mistake by the opponents. I duck the heart, hoping for a continuation or a trump switch.

Hand 2: If pass is the weakest possible action by partner then I bid 2S. If 2S would be the weakest possible action then I bid 4S. Perhaps you consider the second standard, but I think you should mention your agreement here.

Hand 3: I pass of course. If it goes double -pass-pass next then my next action depends on how confident the opponents look. I'm tempted to pull to 3H.

1. Win the A and lead the K hoping RHO ducks. I can't see any legitimate line that works.

2. I play a return to 2 as the weakest action over the double, so pass usually shows a balanced non-minimum hand of some sort. Lets start with a xx and see where this goes.

3. Pass. I've been nailed before. Hard to see how scramling out to our 4-3 in clubs is any better. They haven't passed it out yet.

hand 1 - i duck the heart because there is nothing else to do (that i can see)... i hopefully win trick 2 and draw trumps.. then take A and Q of spades and run the trumps...

hand 2 - i redouble, i want to hear what partner has to say

hand 3 - pass

:unsure: 1) duck the heart and pray

2) bid 2S, the weakest action possible

3) pass is automatic, don't run until you are doubled, and probably

not even then (depending on the table feel) if partner promises a

decent 6 bagger.

1) my first instinct was indeed to duck the heart. But I don't like that line on reflection, if RHO has the diamond ace he will likely overtake the heart and attempt to cash it. If lho has it he will win and attempt to cash it.

2) my second instinct was to win the ace and lead a low diamond from dummy. But this seems like it has a low chance of success...

so...not sure which is better, but i'll go with option 1..it would really depend on my opps.

#1 The only play I can see that has a chance is to duck the heart, assuming West is unlikely to switch to a diamond.

#2 It depends a lot on your methods, but if partner would return to 2 over the double with a minimum hand, I bid 3 now to show my side suit. I'd consider redouble, but that might give the opponents the opportunity to introduce the club suit. Also, I feel that, from a partnership perspective, since my partner has passed the double in order to give me the opportunity to describe my hand, I should do so rather than pass it back to him with a redouble. But that's just my humble opinion.

#3 Must pass. If West doesn't take you off the hook, oh well. Hopefully they have a grand.

1) if lead was K I would be tempted to duck, but on J, it is not likelly to work at all, whoever knows the right switch is gonna win the first trick. I'll try a low from dummy at trick 2, att least that lien can lead to overtrick :-P.

2) 3, if partner has too much s 4 won't make.

3) pass and let opponent's rescue you, I heavylly doubt any 3 level contract is better than 2 also.

OK here is what happend:)))

Board 1:

I ducked the lead, and the jack won the trick, i got a club shift and the rest was easy when the spades were 3-3 or dimond ace whit 4 spades.

Board 2:

I PASSED:))))

My p is an agressiv player and i know if he have singel or void in harts he wont pass 2 harts x after a good raise from me no matter what he have:))

So i hoped he had the right cards and i got really lucky:)) this was all hands:

[hv=n=sk109xhxxdaxcaxxxx&w=saxxhkqj10dqxcjxxx&e=sxxxhxxdjxxxckqxx&s=sqjxha9876dk1098xc]399|300|Lead: King of harts[/hv]

I took the lead of King whit the ace and played 3 times agaist dummy, west ruffed whith 10 and took hes 2 hart tricks before he tryed a small , i won whit the queen and played more spade to west ace, now my spades was good and along whit the ace of club both dimonds got lost in dummy, 9 tricks and all the points to us:)))

Board 3:

I bid 3 SPADES:))

Now i removed west penalty dbl, opps ended in 6 clubs and p lead a small spade to my ruff:))))p later scored his club king for 1 down and a huge gain, when our team-mates passed 2 spades dbl on the other table for +1100.:P)

all hands:

[hv=n=sk109xhxxdaxcaxxxx&w=saxxhkqj10dqxcjxxx&e=sxxxhxxdjxxxckqxx&s=sqjxha9876dk1098xc]399|300|Lead: King of harts[/hv]
