On bidding and lead declarer is marked with 1♥ and 6 or 7 ♠.So partner has 0 or 1 ♠. So playing anything other than 3♠ helps declarer. East should let declarer guess. Even playing the J on 9 is wrong if East plays small and declare plays Q East gets A & J.Gib uses a set of hands with double dummy analysis to make decisions. with the basic bot it doesn't use enough hands and often gets things wrong.
