eagles123
[hv=pc=n&s=sa2hakqjtdakq32c2&n=sk543h432d654c543&d=s&v=0&b=11&a=2cp2dp2hp4hppp]266|200[/hv] This is a slightly altered hand from one on Monday that came up, I think it's a good hand for N/B the opps lead a spade. if you look to draw trumps, on the first two rounds both opps follow possibly theres a squeeze or something but thats not the point :P its matchpoints Thanks Eagles
wank
there's no squeezing, even if spades are 5-2 in the same hand as long diamonds: as soon as you concede a club to rectify the count, they return a spade and cut your link to dummy's spade menace. edited out the rest of it because i wasn't paying enough attention to which forum it's in
Cyberyeti
Clearly the only issue is diamonds not breaking. If diamonds are 4-1 with the long diamonds with the 2 trumps, if you draw trumps first, then play diamonds, you lose a diamond and a club. If you play diamonds after 2 trumps, the second one gets ruffed, they cash a club but you can then ruff your 4th diamond establishing the 5th so it's a wash, 11 tricks. Where playing diamonds first gains is where the same hand has 4 diamonds and 3 trumps as now you make 12.
