The Official BBO Netflix Movie/Show Referral Thread

I just finished watching the 7 part series on Netflix Midnight Mass. I was really impressed by the inventiveness of the story and how the writer weaved together legend with legend. It starts really slowly, but if you hang in there it gets better.

Anyone seen "Don't look up"? Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio movie.

It's received poor reviews but also seems to have reached the top of the most viewed list on Netflix.

FYI, I've not & I'm not in a hurry to see it.

I saw it. I thought it was pretty funny but definitely not in the same league as, say, "Airplane" and it does perhaps hit too close to the mark for some viewers.

I thought it decent but not quite enough tongue-in-cheek like say, Dr. Strangelove.

"CODA" on Apple TV is a well done feel good story.

I re-watched "The Natural" a few days ago. A lot of good performances by supporting actors. Glenn Close is gorgeous.

I've started watching the PBS NewsHour again after seeing some mentions in the WC. Thanks to whoever that was.

"Drive My Car" is very good. Murakami, who wrote the short story on which much of the movie is based, is such a Beatles fan.

"Listen, babe, I got somethin' to say

I got no car and it's breaking my heart

But I've found a driver and that's a start"

Listening to our babes when they got somethin' to say? Good idea.

"Benjamin Franklin" on PBS is very good. Talk about larger than life.

I agree. I haven't watched most Ken Burns documentaries because they're too long, but 4 hours about a great statesman was about the right amount. It's hard to believe one man did so much.

They didn't shy away from mentioning his faults (he was a racist and slave owner for much of his early life, but he eventually realized it was wrong, and he didn't treat his wife very well), but his achievements far overshadowed them.

For anyone who enjoyed some of the earlier episodes of "Better Call Saul" but didn't feel compelled to watch more, I recommend the finale. Will probably watch some episodes again and happily skip others. The Rhea Seehorn character is a doll.

Rhea Seehorn was brilliant in the courtroom scene without a single word of dialogue. I watched every episode and now am onto Paul Giamatti in Billions.

We recently watched season one of "Trapped", a murder mystery set in a small town in Iceland's north country. We enjoyed the scenery and fine performances by Olafur Darri Olafsson (Andri) and Ilmur Kristjansdottir (Hinrika).

Edit: Season 2 was not worth watching IMO.
