thorvald
When using FD it is possible to hoover over the bid before making it and get an explanation of the bid. I have defined the following sequence in FD 1C - (1S) - D as 4+ Hearts, and 6+ hcp When I hoover over the Double prior to making the bid, nothing is show, but after making the bid it is correctly show at the diagram with the bids. It does also look like this could affect explanations of the bidding, as when there are D/RD involved tooltips stops working RegardsThorvald ---------------- For nerds only --------------------------- There problem might be in the implementation of the webservice that returns the information http://webutil.bridgebase.com/v2/u_bm/u_bm.php?cbust=0.9193039480596781&request%5Fid=bf87&v=n&t=f&fk=CC%2FN%2Fthorvald%2F1434667859%5F2761%5FThorvald2%2F899358751&s=P%2D1C%2D1S%2D%2A&d=w <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <sc_bm request_id="bf87" t="f" s="P-1C-1S-*" fk="CC/N/thorvald/1434667859_2761_Thorvald2/899358751" d="w" v="v34" err="0" c="m"> <r b="1N" m="Nat 6-10" f="50NYYYYYY0Na"/> <r b="2C" m="6-9 5-farve" f="50NYYYYYY008"/> <r b="2D" m="Nat. rundekrav" f="50NYYYYYY008"/> <r b="2H" m="Forcing. Nat. runderav" f="50NYYYYYY508"/> <r b="2S" m="Mindst invit med !C" f="50NYYYYYY008"/> <r b="3S" m="Splint med !C-farve" f="50NYYYYYY008"/> <r b="4S" m="Renonce og !C-farve" f="50NYYYYYY008"/> <r b="X" m="4+ !H, 6+hcp" f="50NYYYYYY4+ "/> <r b="P" m="Svag eller strafdobling" f="50NYYYYYY008"/> </sc_bm> The problem is that in the specifications for FD there should not be any information about suitlength for doubles, so the correct response should have been <r b="X" m="4+ !H, 6+hcp" f="50NYYYYYY"/> I think there are the same problem with RD. Another strange thing here is that the webservice doesn't return information about what a Pass would show, so that is naturally not shown. steve2005
when editing FD files you cant specify anything in the agreement category for these. So it defaults to no agreement for pass, X, & XX. FD doesn't show any info if no agreement is in effect even though you've typed in info. I think its a problem with FD itself not the webservice. thorvald
when editing FD files you cant specify anything in the agreement category for these. So it defaults to no agreement for pass, X, & XX. FD does show any info if no agreement is in effect. I think its a problem with FD itself not the webservice. The problem is the webservice returning the first letters of the description of the bid. That is probably confusing the tooltip function. I think the service expects there to be information in the agreement category for D and RD Using the web client and the old Windows client and comparing the functionality makes it quite obvious there are software errors as the tooltip Works fine at the Windows client but not in the web client. And during the check of this i notied that Pass do have a tooltip at the Windows client (Though it is showing 008 and not every time) that I have never seen in the web client Thorvald
