Cyberyeti Posted June 19, 2015 Report Share Posted June 19, 2015 I don't think you can, the best chance to break it up is for partner to win the first spade and lead a heart, he then wins the diamond and plays another heart which means that now declarer can't ruff a diamond and still have an entry to dummy. Unfortunately declarer doesn't need to ruff a diamond as partner only has 2 and you're still squeezed. Had you raised to 4♠, you might have found yourself playing 4♠X-1. In that case you have to lead the diamond first. In fact playing hearts first should be really obvious on a spade lead as it succeeds against H or Hx with the preempt as well.
