He probably ran simulations and determined that the probability of making was sufficiently high to make the bid, lacking the tools to determine otherwise. Stephen Tu Posted June 6, 2015 Report Share Posted June 6, 2015 Well, better system would allow GIB to pass the double and ask whether South can control the suit (something like 5h = no control, xx = CA, 5nt = CK). Then it wouldn't have to go on just simulation and get it right. Also, considering West is going to be on lead, it would be a lot better if it didn't issue warnings to N/S that they have a club problem. These do seem like relatively low frequency problems compared to other stuff GIB does so it probably should be low on the priority list for fixes. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
