csdenmark
This topic is a branch fallen off another tree. Hi Ron! To this:I actually think PC is an excellent system. My only criticism is that I believe it is better to play transfer responses to 1C as the Italians do in their systems - even with a 0 count. Here the response structure over 1C open for 4 great italian bridge systems. None of these are using transfer-response. Roman Club: Responses showing strength and distributionLeghorn Diam: Control responsesBlue Team: Control responsesQuadri Italia: Control responses I am afraid to say that control showing responses are terribly dated and are NOT used in modern Italian systems eg Nightmare, or the Bocchi-Duboin system, or that used by Versacce. Also Garozzo totally rewrote Blue Team Club for the Italian Junior team and abandoned control showing responses. In his words "That is how we did it in the old days, now we know it is not the best method." Anyway that is getting off the thread here. Please nurture this well with solid statements and documentation - and I am sure this tree will prospere! Please Ron - the audience is yours! the hog
Claus I don't know what you mean by this. If you want a link to "Nightmare", there is one on Dan Neill's web site. If you want links to the new version of Blue Club, Dan Neill has that as well - also look up Ambra. If you want a look at Bocchi Duboin's and Lauria Versace's methods. look up the Ecats bridge site for posted convention cards. Hope this helps you. Dan_Neill
Hi all,The Nightmare link used to be there, but now it is mysteriously gone. If you know somebody with a copy, they might send you one. Or Ecats has the Lanzarotti/Buratti official submitted notes. Dan
