badderzboy
You hold the following... [hv=d=n&v=n&s=s642haq102dq10ckq87]133|100|Scoring: IMP[/hv]. Does your decision change if the scoring is MPs? Full hands and what happened hidden! The full hands were :- North ♠KQ10873,♥J43,♦AQ2,♣5 West ♠9,♥96♦J987654,♣109, East ♠AJ5♥K875♦3♣A6432, South ♠642♥AQ102♦K10♣KQ87 I bid 3NT as south , West led J and I took King, played low spade to K taken by A, low Club by East I played 8 Clubs taken by 10, club back to A and West played 4th Club which I won with K , another spade and East gets a spade and cashes last Club 1 down... Did I play it badly or was it just bad luck!! Steve
the hog
Am I missing something totally obvious? Does 1S show a 7 card H suit or something? Isn't a double 100% obvious even to Blind Freddy? My cat would double on this hand and she has only been learning Bridge for 2 weeks. (Plays better than some posters here though.)
cherdano
Ron, the negative attitude in your posts has been annoying me for quite a while, but this is too much. I will completely ignore all your posts in this forum until you have changed your style. So longArend Edit: Just to clarify, this has nothing to do with the discussion in the "alerts" thread. Walddk
At these colours I would go for my own game, so double is my choice. Reverse the vulnerability, and I will collect my 500 or 800, even at IMPs. 3NT is an option, but we might have a double fit in the majors. I can always bid 3NT later if partner rebids 2♦. badderzboy
Why is it 100% obvious??? Question number 2 Then Ron ... What do u bid if RHO passes ? Now what's changed? you have C's double stopped...
Walddk
Not sure what happened since my post is there twice. At least it shows that I didn't change my mind  Roland
joker_gib
Dbl too ! This is the most flexible bid and as Roland said : "3NT can come later"
Walddk
What do u bid if RHO passes ? Now what's changed? you have C's double stopped... 2♣. 3NT is my next bid if partner rebids 2♦. I have too much concentrated in clubs and hearts for spades to be interesting, unless opener has considerable extras. Roland
Gerben47
Double now. If they pass I'd like a forcing NT but lacking that I will bid 2♣. As others have said, what's the hurry? 3NT on my next turn.
the hog
2C if pd passes. Can't opener have 4H as well? Why bid 3NT?
TimG
You hold the following... [hv=d=n&v=n&s=s642haq102dq10ckq87]133|100|Scoring: IMP[/hv]. I'm playing ACOL with 4-card majors. As in SJ Simon? So, double is a cooperative penalty double, right? I choose that.
