iandayre
I don't know about that Lycier, most native children I have known are pretty tough and resilient. Stop picking on them! ;)
Bbradley62
After Gib N's double, strangely Gib E immediately escapes and bid 2NT --- panicky Gib's escaping like a native child !I have no idea how panicky a native child would be, but... look at the description of 2NT. It's not an escape, it's a forward-going bid. West should sign off in 3♠ with an minimum for his 2♠ bid. The explanation of South's double is very weird. Child don't know what misfortune is,just like bidding 2nt with no fit in ♠ and only 6hcp after opp's double --- it is asking for trouble,as result, the scoring is 2ntXE -4,-800 ! lycier
I have no idea how panicky a native child would be, Assume that you are Gib E,I 100% believe you would pass for sure after Gib N's double.bid nothing.
Bbradley62
Again, please read the description of 2NT. It shows 2+ spades opposite partner's 6+ and is a game try opposite a partner who has shown 15-22. West is the culprit here, not East; West must bid 3♠. The system is also somewhat the culprit, since 2N apparently doesn't show a heart stopper. But, given the description provided, East reasonably bid his hand. 1eyedjack
I would not have made a game try with East's hand, and indeed he is 1 TP short of the bare minimum requirement for the bid by GIB's own reckoning. Not sure that I agree that West should bid 2S on 21 HCP or 22 TP, per explanation, but even if that were allowed, it seems vanishingly unlikely given North's subsequent X of 2S. As I think is demonstrated by how poor a contract 3S is on this hand.
