Opps cash ♣A and shift to ♠.I won ♠A and try to cash ♠K, ♦A, ♦K.....oops♦K was ruffed and down 1. I intended to cash SAK, DAK and X ruff. That need ♠AK, ♦AK cashing. After that X ruff with all my master trumps. All other tables make 6♥ drawing trumps and playing D. Some didnt shift to ♠ at trick 2. How bad is the play? Appreciate feedback (especially those playing the tourney)..... :P
the hog
Personally I think the planned crossruff is excellent. You were unlucky.
Flame
Im with you too, but im guessing the bidding wasnt the same at other tables, and the opponenents found their way into the bidding which gave the needed clue to the working line. hotShot
After the ♣Ace is played you control all suits. You don't need more than 3 ruffs (2♦ and one♠) at the table. You can drop 1♣ from the table on a high ♦, so you need 2♣ ruffs in your hand. So there is no reason not to draw 2 rounds of ♥, immediatelly. But this is turning a 92% plan to a 96% plan. Wiste1
Andych you play very well = the best way.All you need is the ♦s 5-2 or better and you are home, dont think any other way could compare with that. Other way to play its bad, remember this time the ♥s was 2-2!!, on cross-ruff you are home allways even if the ♥s are 3-1 or 4-0. And if playing 2 round of ♥s and then A and K of ♦s what next move if both opps follow ?? Wiste

I'm not sure I follow. What is your plan for the 3rd spade (after drawing two rounds of trumps, pitching ne clubon the high diamonds and ruffing the other two clubs)? You're still left with a spade loser. Yes, as the cards lie, you can establish a diamond trick with a (marked) ruffing finesse, but of that is part of your plan, then your line must be less than 90%. Fluffy
Other tables probably started this way ♣A, ♠A, ♦A, ♦8 ruffed high, 2 rounds of trumps praying... claim!. Don't think this line is better than yours actually.
