JesseB
I was sitting south and robot north. Hands were N: KJ9872; - ; KJ10; QJ7 S: Q543; KJ9653; A; A6Bidding was North/South: 1S - 2H; 3C - 4N; 5D - 5S; 5N - 6S. I do not understand robot 5NT bid with description "queen. No lower kings - QC; 16-22tp." North does have 2 kings (KS; KD)
Bbradley62
Welcome to the Forums, Jesse. You are bidding RKC for clubs, because you bid 4N directly over a natural 3♣ bid. When you ask about the ♣Q, he cannot show you any kings without going past 6♣, so he doesn't show you his kings. This is why he says he has "no lower kings" not "no kings". If you want to be bidding RKC in spades, you must bid 3♠ over 3♣, which would be forcing since you are playing 2/1 with GIB. PS: It was generous of you to not complain about GIB's 3♣ bid! JesseB
Thank you for your response. I was really confused! I didn't realise my 5S bid was asking for club queen!
Bbradley62
By the way... your North only has 12 cards. If the missing one is a club, that might explain his 3♣ bid.
