chasetb Posted March 20, 2015 Report Share Posted March 20, 2015 Because North was a passed hand, it changes everything. The 2♦ bid promised 6+ ♦, while denying more than 2 clubs. 3♦ showed 2+. I imagine it did that because 2NT would have shown the big balanced hand, while 2M SHOULD be a reverse. It will bid 2M on less than 16 HCP if it has 3+ ♣ and has 16+ points feels like it.
