He calls you "straight away", maybe having got the hint from partner.25A does not specifically mention 16B. Does it apply automatically? He is allowed to change it, provided his partner has not yet called, and he does so (or at least expresses the desire or intent to do so, or calls the director) as soon as he becomes aware that the bid he made was not the one he intended to make.
