  1. 1. Unregister missing at tourney start

    • Leave it alone. Server continues to unregister missing pairs

    • Change it. Let the TD do it manually if he cares.

Currently, the server unregisters pairs who are not online when the tourney starts.

I received an email that suggested that this is not ideal behaviour. Should we, instead, stop doing this and let the TD manually run the 'Unregister offline pairs' command if he cares? Opinions?

As I see it you don't unregister missing pairs, you are unregistering pairs that have a missing player. So if for some reason my partner is disconnected, I'm excluded from the tourney too.

If (s)he looses the connection milliseconds after tourney start, I'll get a sub to play with.

As TD if I plan to to host a tourney with xx tables, I might end up with missing a few.

Tens of subs needed in 1st round ? Night mare ! Possible if I have forgotten to unregister manually.

If anybody needs this, give him such function in Create Tournament window, but let current behaviour as default pls !!! My experience is the number of missing players is significantly high.

The pool is a bit unuseful for me, its only a part of truth. At start sw unregisters all players (pairs), which cant play in this tourney: disconnected or participating in other tourney. I am able to find out these 1st by clicking on registered pairs, no way to find out these 2nd. No way to manually unregister them. No way to set the number of tables. No way to avoid sitout pair at start (the number of pairs is random, 50 % chance to be odd).

I WANT TO MANUALLY UNREGISTER ALL PAIRS WHICH ARE NOT ABLE TO PLAY !

I usually set the number of pairs to 30 and unregister offline pairs several times during last minutes, but the number of playing pairs vary from 22 to 28 (never 30 !!!).

My regular tournament is 24-boards. Its a great trouble to find a sub-pair at start. Subs in long tournaments are unstable, often need to be subbed later too.

Help me, Uday !

Tx, Posleda

I fully support the system unregistering missing pairs (even if only one is missing) there are usually lost of people wishing to enter the tourney and that persons lack of commitment (arriving in good time or having a good connection) prevents others fun, so do not change it. keep the auto unregisters please and as for not fair on the remaining person who is faultless, you can only imagine the number of requests or dissappearing bodies you get when someones reg p is missing and they fear a substitue from hell is going to be deliberately inflicted upon them :D

I always unregister offline pairs in my tourny manually 2 minutes before start, using the option available to the TDs. This way 2 or 3 places are made available for online pairs to register if the limit set by the TD has been reached.

There is a more serious issue when a pair registers for a trny starting , say in 30 min. When both in a pair or even one of them finds a trny starting in 10 min has been set, (after they had registered for the one starting in 30 min) register there without cancelling their first registration. Such registered pairs in a trny who have started playing in a trny commencing earlier, cannot be removed by the TD, so far as I know. I would like to know if there is a way.

The system deletes their registration when the later trny starts resulting in sitouts. Also denies an oppurtunity for online players again. A player or a pair of players registered for a trny should be prompted to cancel their registration if they want to register for an earlier trny which is not likely to end before the later trny in which they had registered. This problem does not arise if the two trnies where a pair registers do not overlap.

The present option of unregistering offline pairs by TDs should stand.
