epeeist
I don't know if this has been discussed before or would be easy to implement, but often when considering whether or not to sub in a tournament it would be helpful to know what board a particular table was on. Obviously, if I kibitz to check this, then I can't sub (whether or not the software would allow it, ethically, I can't). If moving the cursor over a table in a tournament could display e.g. "Board 9" (or whatever) without actually clicking to kibitz at the table, I don't think that would give inappropriate information. But that, together with the already-accessible tournament description would enable potential subs to guesstimate whether or not they have time to sub. inquiry
Sound like great idea to me. I get asked occassionally to find out what round/board a tourney with no kibitizers is on by a player who wants to know how long before his parnter/friend finishes. Dwingo
Similar suggestions were given before to address this issue, but this suggestion from epeeist is is easily the best. The earlier suggestions were to include the remaining deals in the Pop up invitation that a sub receives, so that a registered sub can take a informed decision, if he/she has the time to sub the balance of the tournament. However this per se, is not useful, as sometimes a Director can sweep a sub into a tourney without an invitation. Epeeist suggestion helps in making an informed decison, whether you want to register as sub. When you register as a sub, you get a popup message saying, You have now registered a sub. If this screen can include some basic info about the tourney - Deal Currently being played, Total No of Deals, Clocked/Unclocked, this will also be helpful in taking an informed decision whether to register yourself as a Sub. If one is not comfortable with the Time he/she can give for subbing, one can immediately remove oneself from the sublist.
Gerardo
epeist's works better in a clocked tourney, including it in the invit works better in unclocked.
