Rain
I presume forums/myhands has been moved again? Is it really that hard to put a forwarding link in the old locations? Best is to just keep url constant? Thanks
Gerardo
No, forums and myhands not moved. http://www.bridgebase.com is currently inaccessable for a bunch of people. We took measures to correct that, but they take a while to show up, at most a day. If you are running Windows 2000+ the command "ipconfig /flushdns" may or may not help, give it a try. Meanwhile, Forums and Myhands work.
uday
Boring post (mine) The official bbo site is http://online.bridgebase.com and you can get to forums and myhands from that page. If you'd bookmarked the URLS you saw when you typed in www.bridgebase.com/forums you'd be ok The www.bridgebase.com machine was moved (by one of our ISPs) without warning, causing the disruption. Gerardo quickly corrected our "DNS" to point at the new location, but it will take a little while for the changes to propagate. The normal link is nothing but a redirector to the site http://online.bridgebase.com/ anyway. Over time I want to train us all to start using http://online.bridgebase.com/ or something similar. For now, the 2 big links (forums, myhands) are available on the navbar at this site and also in the LINKs section. The site is just brochureware. I can't decide whether to create a "members" area on that site.
Rain
Ok, thanks, nice explanation. Didn't realise normal site should be online.bridgebase.com. I think forums and myhands and vugraphs and whatever else we have should have a more standardised url. maybe online.bridgebase.com/ forums/myhands/vugraph etc? Very important, imo.
