flytoox
Good hand to lead DK. Pd rates to have sth, I want to get a ruff and lead spade or hearts is even more dangerous.
han
At IMPs this would be easier than at matchpoints imo.

Rebound
I'm with Luke. A-other club. I don't consider it clear-cut. The unbid suit is also appealing, but I want to get rid of trump.
pclayton
At IMPs, the K♦. If partner is broke we aren't setting this. If partner has his cards in hearts, we probably aren't setting this. There's no point to a spade. Unless partner is void, the trick Ihe ruffs is a spade trick I would have gotted anyway. And its doubtful that our spade can disappear. At MPs, probably the A♣, but I still might lead a ♦
mike777
K of D Easier at MP, only one board and no teammates to go back and explain to. Jimmy is used to my poor opening leads.
luke warm
well the ♦K is certainly not a poor lead, it might even be best this hand.... i've seen similar leads work out very well...

Jimmy, this is not a fit auction, LHO passed 3C doesnt mean he has good club support. Otherwise he would take some action. He is more likely to have singelton or doubleton club. He wont have ruffing ability either. So leading CA and cx is rather bad I think. You give up the timing and control. Of course I could be wrong with DK, but I am quite sure CA is the wrong lead:)
pclayton
I disagree. If you choose to go passive on this hand; hoping for say, a spade, a heart, a diamond, a club, then one in the wash, a club is fine. And a club makes a whole lot of sense if you think -110 is a good score. A lot of the time, it won't make a lot of difference what we lead. We exchange a diamond ruff for a 2nd diamond trick. But give pard the ♦A, and this is the only way to beat the hand.

Interesting, I thought the diamond was clear at IMPs, not at matchpoints!
