whereagles
Matchpoints, adv pard[hv=pc=n&w=skj9732hjtdk652cq&d=s&v=b&b=7&a=1c2s3hp3nppdppp]133|200[/hv] No agreement as to whether pard's double asked for a particular lead. Lead?
Phil
♥J = 10, everything else, 0.
Fluffy
♥J = 10, everything else, 0. Don't you give anything to ♥10? :P, it looks better than other leads
WesleyC
♥J looks super clear. Given how good our hand is, partner can't have too many HCP so he must have positional hearts.
Phil
Don't you give anything to ♥10? :P, it looks better than other leads I said ♥J equals "Ten". So either the J or T are fine :P
whereagles
Seems like my choice of a heart is consensual with other. Well, this time it was not optimal. [hv=pc=n&s=sat86hk6dqtckt862&w=skj9732hjtdk652cq&n=s4hq9874d974caj74&e=sq5ha532daj83c953&d=s&v=b&b=7&a=1c2s3hp3nppdppp]399|300[/hv] All leads set it, but spade sets it 2 extra (diam as well, but that's a bit too hard to find). I wasn't too happy with pard because he could have bid 3♠ to help me out, though I can understand him passing if he thinks 3♥ was strong, not that piece of junk. With another pard I play that this double calls for a lead of our suit. That would have helped here.
gszes
partner had a clear chance to bid 3s and they failed to do so. Thatmeans it is hugely unlikely a spade can ever be right. If p thinkswe can set 3n they have to be covering hearts and clubs (quitepossible looking at our hand) so the attacking lead of the heartJ seems like the best bet overall for a set. PhantomSac
Is it so clear a heart lead will set it? If west had AJ9xxx JT Qxxx x or w/e a spade shift is required to set it.
