uva72uva72
My link IMPs, ACBL robot individual The announcement of the new GIB version reads in part "If a minor fit is found and player makes a jump to 5 in the minor, GIB will no longer treat this as a slam inquiry. Instead, GIB will pass the minor game." Clearly, the robot did not get the memo. It's really no consolation that the <35% slam made, since it means the problem has not been fixed. And even if my 5♣ were invitational, North should have passed, having a minimum for its 3♣ bid under BBOs idiosyncratic implementation of lebensohl. Unless, of course, what was meant was that the robot will bid the slam only when it knows it's making.
iandayre
Right again. An explanation from BBO is warranted here as well.
