1eyedjack
Sounds a bit like crowing, sorry, but couldn't resist recording for posterity what I think is a personal best for me. Maybe I shall have to stick to playing at 05:00 in the bath. I expect all y'all have done better. http://webutil.bridg...227&u=1eyedjack MP, best hand South, Instant, Pro GIB 30 (at my table). A couple of baby psychs by me, but nothing outrageous, and some I might have tried with a human partner. East's 4C on hand 1 is worthy of bringing to the attention of the programmers. I just got very lucky on hand 2. Should have stuck to NT really. Expecting 4S to be passed was real pie in the sky stuff. Failing to double on 4 was a lost opportunity as we are making 3H. (Joint) worst result of the set. Refreshingly and pleasantly surprised with hand 8. In a previous generation GIB North would pull 1N to 2H in the expectation of at least doubleton support. Shame it wasn't a 55% Rebate, but of course the quality of the human opposition is much higher there. Can't draw too much inference from an 8 board match, I know. I have scored in the low 30s on some occasions.
1eyedjack
This was the hand 1 that I mentioned above: [hv=bbo=y&lin=pn|1eyedjack,~~M1487x1n,~~M4330zed,~~M4333kvm|st%7C%7Cmd%7C3SJKH78KD7JC456JQK%2CS7TQAH346TQD68QKC%2CS2589H259AD2349C7%2C%7Crh%7C%7Cah%7CBoard%201%7Csv%7Co%7Cmb%7Cp%7Cmb%7Cp%7Cmb%7C1N%7Cmb%7C2D%21%7Can%7CCappelletti%20-%20majors%20--%205%2B%20%21H%3B%205%2B%20%21S%3B%2011%2B%20total%20points%20%7Cmb%7Cp%7Cmb%7C2S%7Can%7CMy%20better%20major%20--%203%2B%20%21S%3B%2010-%20total%20points%20%7Cmb%7C3C%7Cmb%7Cd%7Can%7CTakeout%20double%20--%205%2B%20%21H%3B%205%2B%20%21S%3B%2016%2B%20total%20points%20%7Cmb%7Cp%7Cmb%7C4C%7Can%7C3%2B%20%21S%3B%209-10%20total%20points%20%7Cmb%7Cp%7Cmb%7C4S%7Can%7C5%2B%20%21H%3B%205%2B%20%21S%3B%2015%2B%20HCP%3B%2016-22%20total%20points%20%7Cmb%7Cp%7Cmb%7Cp%7Cmb%7Cp%7Cpc%7CCK%7Cpc%7CH3%7Cpc%7CC7%7Cpc%7CCA%7Cpc%7CHJ%7Cpc%7CHK%7Cpc%7CH6%7Cpc%7CH9%7Cpc%7CCQ%7Cpc%7CS7%7Cpc%7CS8%7Cpc%7CC2%7Cpc%7CS2%7Cpc%7CS3%7Cpc%7CSK%7Cpc%7CSA%7Cpc%7CSQ%7Cpc%7CS5%7Cpc%7CS6%7Cpc%7CSJ%7Cpc%7CH4%7Cpc%7CH2%7Cpc%7CS4%7Cpc%7CH7%7Cpc%7CD5%7Cpc%7CD7%7Cpc%7CDK%7Cpc%7CD4%7Cpc%7CST%7Cpc%7CS9%7Cpc%7CC3%7Cpc%7CC4%7Cpc%7CD8%7Cpc%7CD3%7Cpc%7CDA%7Cpc%7CDJ%7Cpc%7CDT%7Cpc%7CC5%7Cpc%7CDQ%7Cpc%7CD2%7Cpc%7CHQ%7Cpc%7CH5%7Cpc%7CC9%7Cpc%7CH8%7Cpc%7CD6%7Cpc%7CD9%7Cpc%7CCT%7Cpc%7CC6%7Cpc%7CHA%7Cpc%7CC8%7Cpc%7CCJ%7Cpc%7CHT%7C]400|300[/hv] Understandably, declarer eschewed the ruffing Heart finesse, as I had promised the Ace for my 1N opener. Phew! But the bidding is the thing. 3CX. Ouch.
iandayre
Once again GIB refuses to defend against a 3C doubled contract with a 6-card stack against the declarer. Do you suppose we have identified a "glitch"?
